A debt collector called and harassed me about an old Cash Advance payday loan account he was trying to collect. He ended up actually threatening me with jail. Ron and I worked to gather all of the evidence, and he was able to put a case together.

I had made a complaint about a debt collector who had placed a collection account on my credit report. Shortly thereafter, I was contacted by Mr. Reed, who had seen my complaint. He explained that the collector whom I had made the complaint against was not legally qualified to collect in my state of residence, therefore, they were not legal to place the account on my credit report.

Long story short, Mr. Reed prepared letters of dispute for me to send out to the credit bureaus on which the account was reported. Within a few weeks, the account was deleted from every bureau on which it had been reporting.

I have to say that Mr. Reed promised me that there would be no upfront cost for his services. Because the bureaus removed the account, no lawsuits would be filed and, consequently, Mr. Reed ended up working for free.

A collector from a very shady California based company popped up on my TransUnion credit report. I tried disputing it multiple times and TransUnion is super notorious in this aspect and they didn’t budge. I then made complaints to a few government consumer websites like Texas Consumer Protection Bureau, Office of attorney general etc. I had lost all the hope. After I was scared into paying a debt collector, I spent HUNDREDS of hours trying to trace back names of companies and addresses before working with Ron. These unscrupulous debt collectors know the law well enough to hide the information you would need in order to hold them accountable.

I can tell you firsthand you may get a few lawyers who will return your calls, but they will ultimately tell you if the company in question is based out of state, or if you don’t have their physical address to serve them, you’re out of luck.

Ron is truly an expert in his field. You need to be patient; it could take months to get the information you need and to build your case. Understand that you CANNOT do this on your own even if you worked on it full time, and that’s not realistic for most people.
