Threatening Voicemail
This voicemail message has at least two violations of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act: The message doesn't contain a mini-Miranda warning, as required by law. Also, the caller leaves an implied threat to report the recipient's non-compliance to the "proper jurisdiction".
Filing Through Harris County
This message contains an actual threat to "move forward with the filing through Harris County". Caller also fails to leave a mini-Miranda warning (this call is from a debt collector and anything you say will be used for that purpose).
Process Server Call
This voicemail message is from a "process server". We see this type of message very often. Be aware that a real process server will attempt to serve you; they won't call first. And why would they provide you the phone number of the company that is supposedly suing you?
Voicemail from "Grandma"
This collector sounds like a sweet grandmother calling to wish you a "Happy Birthday". This lady is anything but sweet. She knows her paycheck depends on the debtor being so scared that they call her back and pay her all the money!
Call from Liza Johnson
This voicemail is from Liza Johnson, another fake "process server". Liza sounds very convincing, doesn't she? You can be sure that she's reading from a script, doing her best to make you think you're about to be served "certified documentation that requires your signature".
Voicemail from Kristi
Another voicemail from a sweet grandmother, this one named "Kristi". Kristi's message contains at least three FDCPA violations: no mini-Miranda; did not identify the name of the collection company she was calling from; and, of course, an implied threat.
